Laminar heat transfer with mass injection and chemical reaction
Abstract
A general stoichiometric formula was derived to simplify a boundary layer problem with mass injection and chemical reaction. An analysis was performed using chemical equilibrium as an example. The calculated results were found to be consistent with the experimental ones. When the amount of injection is zero, the relevant data were in good agreement with the results. Finally, it was pointed out that with the increasing available energy of the exo-thermic reaction the effect of Lewis number on heat transfer decreases as the capability of heat generating reactions increases.
