Boresight error measurements of high temperature Pyroceram radomes
Abstract
Attention is given to a complex experimental program which has the aim to measure directly boresight error slopes (BES) of Pyroceram von Karman shaped lambda/2 wall radomes. One of the primary objectives of the test program is to evaluate a radome electrically corrected (tailored) 'off frequency'. A secondary objective is to determine the increase in BES of the current production type radome at high temperatures. Ambient and high temperature BES measurements are discussed in relation to 'out of band' electrical correction of radomes, repeatability, and correlation with anechoic chamber measurements.
