Modeling of the interaction of shock waves with a barrier
Abstract
An investigation is presented of the numerical modeling of discontinuous flows of an ideal gas arising in the interaction of shock waves with barriers. Attention is given to the reflection of a plane shock wave from a concave cylindrical surface. A comparison of theoretical calculations with experimental results shows that the numerical method proposed in the present paper can be used to quantitatively describe flows with discontinuities of complex configuration.
