On the performance of a two dimensional clutter rejection system
Abstract
The target detection performance of a two-dimensional clutter rejection system using Doppler information and its range-to-range correlation is evaluated. In the evaluation, target signals and weather clutter recorded by using L-band air-route surveillance radar are used. It is observed that the two-dimensional clutter rejection system gives significant improvement in the target detection ability in comparison with the conventional LOG/CFAR system.
