Analysis of complex waveguiding structures by an iterative method
Abstract
The paper reviews the transmission line matrix (TLM) method of complex waveguide structure analysis which is based on quantizing the differential form of Maxwell's equations in cartesian coordinates into finite time and length differences and applying transmission line network to the coupled equations. The efficiency of the TLM method is evaluated with reference to the absorbing wall model, the matched wall model, a spatial matched filter, and a dispersion diagram of a dielectric rod.
