Noise immunity of various systems for the processing of optical-sounding signals
Abstract
A comparative analysis is presented of various methods for solving the lidar equation in problems involving the single-frequency sounding of atmospheric aerosol. A general model for the representation of the measured functionals and a priori information for various schemes of the mathematical processing of signals is presented. The stability and accuracy of interpretation of this model are evaluated in relation to errors of a priori quantities and the method of lidar-system calibration.
