Weakly interacting radiating boundary layer flow parallel to a flat plate
Abstract
In Venkateshan and Prasad (1979) a detailed analysis for a strongly interacting radiating boundary layer flow past a flat plate was presented. It is noted that such a case is mathematically complex and corresponds to N is much greater than 1, Bo is much less than 1. Further, the other extreme case corresponding to N is much greater than 1, Bo is much greater than 1 is useful in engineering applications and reveals details absent in the strong interaction case. Consideration is given to these details by means of asymptotic arguments and solutions are worked out by the method of matched asymptotic expansions with the radiation field described by the differential approximation. Finally, comparisons are made with earlier work.
