Landsat D telecommunications payload - Earth imaging data via TDRS
Abstract
This paper describes the telecommunications payload for the Landsat D spacecraft. The salient design features of the electronic equipment, as well as the performance requirements that such equipment must satisfy to fulfill GE and NASA communication functions, are presented. Operational characteristics associated with the process of relaying earth imaging information to the White Sands Ground station via the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS) are also highlighted.
