The theory of a fusion reactor
Abstract
Reactor plasma problems are discussed with reference to ignition tokamaks, including heat transfer, temperature profile control, development of the evolution code and other codes for computer simulations of the reactor operating phases and subphases. Principles of international collaboration in fusion reactor work are suggested, such as the establishment of an international library of fusion reactor codes, adequate code documentation, and code validation. Directions of future research are outlined.
