Consideration of instrument distortions of complex bands in molecular spectra
Abstract
The paper examines the possibility of using the graphical sweep method to account for instrument distortions of complex bands in molecular spectra. It was shown that this method (1) can be successfully applied to isolated absorption bands, and also to overlapping bands typical of polymer spectra, (2) can substantially reduce the instrument distortions of complex bands in the IR absorption spectra, and (3) is applicable in the peak of the absorption range.
