Atmospheric sensitivities of high energy lasers
Abstract
The atmosphere affects the propagation of high energy lasers (HEL) by attenuation and defocusing the laser thereby reducing the energy density on a target. This technical note identifies the atmospheric effects on HEL and their significance.
