Development and application of electromagnetic suspensions in instrument design
Abstract
Various aspects of the use of electromagnetic suspensions in gyroscopic systems of spacecraft control and navigation are considered. Attention is given to the design of electromagnetic suspensions for two-level float gyros, spherical electrostatic gyros, uniaxial flywheel accelerometers, and inertial flywheel stabilization systems for spacecraft. Design and accuracy requirements for these instruments are summarized.
