Conical gyro drive for the stabilization of a spacecraft about its center of mass
Abstract
The theory of the precision gyro drive for the stabilization and control of spacecraft is developed, and this stabilization method is compared to other techniques (i.e., gas-reaction nozzles and flywheels). Passive and active stabilization of spacecraft by conical gyro drives is considered.
