Faint QSOs candidates in the field of the globular cluster NGC 6752.
Abstract
Based on their location in the ((U - B), (B - V)) color-color diagram, 25 faint QSO candidates in the direction of the globular cluster NGC 6752 were found. One of these was confirmed spectroscopically as a QSO and has a redshift of Z = 1.918 ± 0.007 from three lines. These objects may prove useful for ground-based or Space Telescope observers desiring a zero proper-motion reference system in order to carry out an astrometric study of this cluster.
