Polarization effects in cosmological models with anisotropic curvature.
Abstract
The evolution of the polarization states for an electromagnetic radiation propagating in diagonal-metric cosmological models with anisotropic curvature tensor of 3-space is analyzed. It is found that the rotation of the polarization vector is small, provided the experimental constraints on the expansion anisotropy are satisfied. It is concluded that any primordial polarization of the cosmic-background radiation can survive up to the present epoch if the universe is suitably described by one of these models.
