Communication systems and radio-relay lines
Abstract
The design principles and architecture of various radio communication systems are examined. Systems discussed include direct-visibility radio-relay systems with frequency and time multiplexing, tropospheric-scatter radio-relay systems, satellite communication systems, waveguide and optical communication systems, and, finally, meteor-trail scatter and ionospheric radio communication systems. The fundamental concepts of the electromagnetic compatibility of radio communication systems are also examined.
