Inverse heat conduction problems - Survey of the literature
Abstract
An overview of recent literature on inverse heat conduction problems is presented; linear and nonlinear and one-dimensional and two-dimensional problems are considered, along with coupled-field problems. Particular consideration is given to the application of the least squares method to the inverse problem of heat conduction, a temperature extrapolation mechanism for two-dimensional heat flow, numerical solutions to an inverse problem of heat conduction for simple shapes, and unsteady fields of temperature and thermal stresses in rotating disks of axial-flow turbines.
