On the haloes and warping of galaxies
Abstract
Precession of the warps in the outer parts of galactic discs under the gravity of invisible galactic haloes is calculated. Four warped galaxies are considered. Their warps will not wrap up too quickly provided that the flattening of the density of the invisible haloes lies mainly outside the warps.
