New results about SiF
Abstract
A new investigation of the A2Sigma(plus)-X2Pi(r) transition of SiF has been performed in order to provide new measurements for possible astrophysical applications. The spectra have been obtained in emission in the second order of a 21-ft eagle spectrograph from 4000 to 4600 A with a reciprocal dispersion of 0.58 A/mm and from 4600 to 5100 A in the first order. The lines of the (0-0) band are listed along with the molecular constants for this band; with these constants 600 lines are recalculated within 0.04/cm.
