Equations of motion in linearised gravity. III  Radiation of fourmomentum
Abstract
A conserved 'energymomentum tensor' is suggested for the RobinsonTrautman solutions of the Einstein and the EinsteinMaxwell vacuum field equations which, in the linear approximation discussed in earlier papers, is shown to yield to first order a rate of radiation of fourmomentum equal to the loss of fourmomentum by the source. In the case of a charged source the Larmor formula is obtained.
