ETS-II experiments. II - Earth station facilities
Abstract
The earth station at the Kashima branch of the Radio Research Laboratories has a highly sensitive receiving system designed for receiving coherent and weak beacon signals from the ETS-II satellite and obtaining propagation data at quasi-mm and mm wavelengths. The ground system includes a main receiving station which has a 10-m-diameter antenna multifrequency antenna, highly sensitive receivers, a rain radar, a radiometer, meteorological instruments, and data processing computers.
