Astrofix en coordonnees rectangulaires: Methode de bhattacharji, methode de dollen et methode de dollen generalisee
Abstract
The use of rectangular coordinates in geodetic astronomy is discussed. Consideration is given to the methods of Bhattacharji (1959), in which latitude is determined based on the observation of the azimuth difference of a star pair at their time of elongation, and Doellen (Meuller, 1969; Vassallo, 1976), in which time or longitude are determined by the observation of a clock star in the vertical plan of the north star, and to the generalized Dollen method, in which an arbitrary pair of stars in the same vertical plane is observed. The efficiency and simplicity of these methods in rectangular coordinates are pointed out.
