On the theory of the superluminescent diode. I - Stationary behaviour
Abstract
A model for the superluminescent diode (SLD) is presented, using a system of coupled partial differential equations, which includes spontaneous and stimulated emission. The stationary solution of this equation system is achieved numerically yielding the distribution of electron and photon densities within the active region and the light power versus current density characteristics.
