Speckle interferometric measurements of binary stars. V.
Abstract
Three hundred and twenty-seven measurements of 217 binary stars observed by means of speckle interferometry with the Mayall 4-m telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory are presented. Measured separations range from 0.030 to 2.292 arcsec. New directly resolved systems include 51 Psc, HR 233, 64 Ori, 65 Gem, 9 Cyg, phi Cyg, lambda Cyg, mu Agr, 12 Agr, and 5 Lac. Continued observations of the two newly resolved double-lined spectroscopic systems with giant components, 65 Gem (K III, K III) and phi Cyg (G8 III-IV, G8 III-IV) offer the possibility of particularly important mass/luminosity determinations.
