Slow flares in aggregates. II
Abstract
Photometric data on nine slow flares in the Pleiades, Praesepe and the Hyades are given. The currently available information on slow flares in aggregates is used to divide the light curves of slow flares into three types. It is shown that combinations of slow and fast flares are encountered. Dependences are obtained among flare amplitude, the inverse rate of flare-up, and the inverse rate of decay. These dependences show that the greater the flare amplitude, the less is the depth in the photosphere at which the flare occurs. These dependences confirm Ambartsumian's ideas about the nature of slow flares.
