Photoelectric lightcurves and rotation period of 308 Polyxo, obtained at ESO-La Silla in May 1978
Abstract
The asteroid 308 Polyxo was observed during the 1978 opposition, by a photoelectric photometer attached to the ESO 50-cm telescope at La Silla (Chile). The light curve shows that the object should have a very irregular shape, with a complex secondary maximum. The largest amplitude is 0.20 mag, while the synodic rotation period is 12h01m55s plus or minus 30s.
