Payload technology for communication satellites
Abstract
Communication satellite payload technology development is described with emphasis on: (1) a 6/4 GHz receiver; and (2) a 14/1 GHz receiver, with wide input frequency and low noise factor with the use of a preamplifier. Attention is given to graphite fiber technology developed at Thomson CSF which allows a significant weight reduction for the 4 GHz filters.
