Proceedings of the workshop on ionospheric and magnetospheric effects of Satellite Power Systems (SPS)
Abstract
Atmospheric effects of a satellite power system are discussed. Atmospheric effects originating from the release of rocket propellant emissions into the ionosphere and magnetosphere are discussed. A listing of potentially important issues with assigned importance ratings; explanations of each issue and diagrams illustrating the interrelationships between the various satellite power systems causes and identified potential atmospheric effects, and possible final impacts, recommendations for both short and long term research objectives, and recommended approaches to achieve those objectives are presented.
