High-energy, TEM/00/-mode Nd:YAG oscillators
Abstract
An efficient, compact, high-energy, TEM(00)-mode, Nd:YAG laser has been developed. A folded design employing corner prisms and a single-element mirror - to assure alignment insensitivity - provides a geometrically stable, single-transverse-mode output energy of 0.125 J/pulse at 10 pps and 0.075 J/pulse at 30 pps. Design analysis with experimental system performance data is presented.
