Measurements in interior ballistics, transmission, sensors
Abstract
The study of moving projectiles in interior ballistics led to the development of systems in which signals could be transmitted from probes under severe conditions of acceleration, pressure, and temperature. Various transmission techniques (e.g. microwaves, optoelectronic devices, conducting wires, storage devices) are briefly described, as are inductive transducers for measuring pressure, axial accelerations, and transverse vibrations to which the projectile is subjected. The technique best adopted to specific projectile systems is indicated.
