Optical characteristics of the atmosphere in the lambda lambda 0.4 - 0.8 µm region.
Abstract
The small high-speed spectrometer aboard Salyut 4 was used to measure the optical properties of the upper atmosphere and of the atmosphere at the daytime horizon. Spectra of noctilucent clouds are examined, and the optical thickness of the atmospheric layer directly above the daytime horizon was determined by a correlation method.
