Investigations of the radiation of the atmosphere in the near infrared spectral region.
Abstract
Salyut-4 measurements were used to obtain vertical brightness profiles of the atmosphere in the near infrared over various regions of the earth under various conditions of solar illumination. The profiles were separated into three classes on the basis of illumination and cloud cover conditions. It is shown that at heights of 30-90 km the brightness profiles are conditioned by molecular oxygen emission at a wavelength of 1.3 microns and by the presence of noctilucent clouds
