Switching in a biplanar image converter
Abstract
The paper examines stabilization of potential on the photocathode of a biplanar electron-optic converter in the case when an accelerating impulse of rectangular form is delivered to the electrodes. The small electrode gap in the device leads to a high capacitance of the photocathode-screen system. The time of discharge for this capacitance is determined by the surface resistance of the photocathode if the latter is greater than the wave resistance of the conducting cables.
