Some examples of the exact solution of the problem of the motion of a small particle in a gas flow
Abstract
In the present paper, two examples are used to demonstrate the exact solution of the equations of particle motion in a gas stream. The first is the motion of a small spherical particle in a uniform gas flow at moderate Reynolds numbers. The second is the motion of a small particle in the gas flow past a 90degree corner at a rate where compressibility may be neglected.
