Characteristics of nonequilibrium carbon dioxide flows behind shock waves
Abstract
In the present paper, nonequilibrium carbon dioxide flows behind shock waves are analyzed numerically for flow rates ranging from 3 to 7 km/sec. Allowance is made for the excitation of molecular vibrational degrees of freedom, dissociation, and ionization. The concentration of the gas components in the shock wave relaxation zone is plotted against the flow velocity.
