Numerical analysis of gas streams with discontinuities of complex configurations
Abstract
In the present paper, the properties of conservation equations of gasdynamics in curvilinear systems of coordinates are studied. Using the reflection of a plane shock wave from a concave cylindrical surface as an example, it is shown that Godunov-type schemes (which do not require preliminary determination of singularities, discontinuity surfaces, etc.) are well suited for calculating flows with discontinuities of complex configurations.
