Solution of a three-dimensional electromagnetic-wave diffraction problem by means of antenna potentials
Abstract
Kravtsov (1977) has used antenna potentials to approximate functions of many variables and has proposed an effective method of obtaining approximate solutions to scalar problems of diffraction, in the form of an integral of antenna potential type. In the present paper, the antenna-potential approach is applied to the solution of the problem of wave diffraction by a conducting body for impedance-type boundary conditions. The solution to the boundary value problem is obtained in the form of an antenna-potential-generated field. Possible means of constructing scalar antenna potentials for vector problems are examined.
