Adaptive radar signal processing
Abstract
Several tasks of radar signal processing systems are surveyed including ground clutter suppression, weather clutter suppression, and radial-velocity analysis. Decision theory is used to devise procedures for discriminating between clutter returns and those from aircraft flying at a certain radial velocity. The clutter covariance matrix plays a major role in this type of processing.
