The solution of a system of quasilinear equations in gas dynamics
Abstract
The paper examines the mixed problem for a system of quasilinear equations of gas dynamics describing the unsteady axisymmetric flow of an ideal compressible fluid that occurs, for example, in the case of a shock wave ejected from a circular pipe into the atmosphere. The Godunov method is used to obtain a general numerical solution to this problem. Results allow an evaluation of the initial stage of gasjet development.
