Design and construction of large-panel concrete structures. Report 6: Design methodology
Abstract
The structural integrity of large panel concrete buildings under abnormal conditions is considered with emphasis on the importance of the design strengths of large panel structures and their individual elements. Topics covered include the scope, limitations, and definitions involved in the design methodology; some general considerations of analysis and design; and minimum requirements for integrity. Foundations, floor and roof elements, walls, joints, and connections between precast members are discussed and details of handling, assembly, and erection, and special provisions for seismic and wind design are included. An appendix on site planning considerations is provided.
