Imaging X-ray spectrometer to study solar activity in conjunction with the SCADM program
Abstract
An experiment to study solar active region dynamics and evolution is reported. A spectrometer imaging X-rays (SIX) is discussed in relation to the capacity of simultaneous high resolution imaging, spectral dispersion, and time resolution for observing the processes involved in the buildup and release of energy in the solar corona. A tabular summary of the main SIX experiment characteristics is presented.
