Spray-type Cu2S-CdS solar cells
Abstract
Some properties of sprayed layers of CdS are investigated in order to determine the best conditions for fabricating Cu2S-CdS window-effect solar cells. Sprayed layers deposited on substrates heated to 380 C, starting from solutions with an S/Cd ratio of 1, are suitable for cell preparation. The electrical properties of the cell are strongly dominated by oxygen adsorption which occurs at room temperature. Backwall cells can be prepared with sprayed layers deposited on SnO2-coated glass substrates.
