Slow cyclotron waves in a waveguide containing a relativistic electron beam
Abstract
The paper examines the dispersion characteristics and field structure of low-amplitude cyclotron waves propagating in a relativistic electron beam that moves along the axis of an ideally conducting waveguide. The use of these cyclotron waves to accelerate ions is discussed.
