Axisymmetric excitation of spherical helical antenna with conical screen
Abstract
A boundary-value problem is considered concerning the symmetric excitation, by a vertical electric dipole, of an anisotropically conducting model of a spherical helical antenna with a conically shaped screen. The problem is solved by a method based on a representation of the solution as a series in complete orthogonal systems of functions which ensure that the boundary conditions at the screen surface are met. Directional diagrams are calculated for various values of antenna electric radius, helical winding angle, and screen flare angle, as well as for different positions of the excitation source.
