Shock-wave-triggered photorecombination laser
Abstract
The present analysis deals with a steady-state photorecombination laser employing a supersonic gas flow of standard atmospheric density. The population inversion and the waveguide which arise behind the shock front are studied for an O3-Ar and an O3-CO gas mixture. The optical gain in the waveguide modes and the specific power level of the stimulated emission are determined.
