Some aspects of aerosol heat and mass transfer during mixing with the flow of a nonequilibrium vibrationally excited medium
Abstract
In the present paper, the mixing process in a channel of constant cross section is analyzed on the basis of the mass, momentum, and energy conservation equations. The necessary conditions are established for 'instantaneous' mixing of aerosol particles with the flow of a vibrationally excited medium. Formulas in terminal form are proposed for calculating the lifetime and depth of penetration of aerosol particles for transient and free-molecular flows.
