Mössbauer diffraction experiments with LiF: A new technique for calibration
Abstract
Mössbauer diffraction measurements of the LiF (200) Bragg peak indicate that the inelastic scattering is about 3% of the total intensity for nearly perfect crystals and only 0.5% for highly imperfect crystals. Based on the high elastic fraction observed, a new method for calibrating Mössbauer diffraction experiments is proposed.
