Synchronized semiconductor oscillators in microwave equipment
Abstract
The main characteristics of semiconductor microwave oscillators utilizing transistor, tunnel diode, BARITT diode, and avalanche transit-time diode techniques are presented. Synchronization characteristics of general-purpose oscillators, methods of improving these characteristics, and different functions that can be carried out by the oscillators in microwave equipment are considered. Applications of the synchronized microwave oscillators in communication systems including amplifying circuits, modules, and active elements of phased arrays are obtained.
