Military linear microcircuits - On the move
Abstract
The status of the military linear microcircuits is reviewed. Past problems are discussed, noting that aside from inherent technical difficulties there have existed such complicating factors as insufficient resources committed to do the work, and lack of open communication among users, government, and manufacturers. Current remedies are noted, emphasizing the reactivation of the JC41 Committee on Linear ICs, and the development of improved automatic test systems. The new linear slash sheets are considered, together with the presentation of a table identifying all the sheets recently or soon to be issued. Projected applications of the linears in military systems are mentioned.
