Immersion method of holographic interferometry for the study of shape and deformation
Abstract
A holographic immersion method was used to generate contour maps of diffusely reflecting machine-part surfaces; maps have a contour interval from 1 micron to several millimeters. These maps are suitable for quantitative analysis of shape and deformation as well as for qualitative comparison of machine-part surfaces. Measurements were carried out on turbine blade surfaces.
